group projects

Over the past couple weeks, we have been focusing on working on our group collaboration projects. More specifically ours was over Cool Runnings. As a freshman, this was my first time seriously working. In the past I had been babied, their were certain “busy work” tasks involved in the project, but this time, I had been forced to take initiative on my own to do my share and help the machine that was our group run smoothly. There was no one here to hold my hand and tell me to have what due by when. I was surprised with how swimmingly our project conducted itself. With a few minor set backs, we were able to accomplish our goals seemingly pain free. It really showed myself that I can conduct myself as a real adult and despite how it may feel, I am in fact ready for tasks such as these!

As a kid, I was always the one to be enrolled in every after school club/activity so my mom could have some extra time to get dinner ready and work. With that being said, one of the activities I was enrolled frequently over the years of my elementary age. One of the activities/lessons that would always come up would be improv. I always found it very fun to play the common game that starts off with one person each saying a sentence that would create a funny story by the time everyone had a chance to have a turn.
